I am currently an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Mississippi. I earned my doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota and earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Missouri. I am foremost a counseling psychologist, but also describe myself as a vocational psychologist, as my research is focused on career development, assessment, and outcomes. My theoretical orientation is primarily cognitive-behavioral and behavioral, but I appreciate aspects of other theories, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Interpersonal.
I love sweets (anything with chocolate), good company (which often includes my husband and two sons), and good tv (Who doesn't love some Friends, homeland, or Shameless?).
